• THERMOREGULATING

Alpaca fiber to is a unique material that wicks moisture, keeps feet dry and endures wear. We’ve created cutting edge manufacturing techniques that transforms this natural material into the perfect -hiking, cycling, working, skiing, everyday- pair of socks.

Compared to traditional merino, alpaca fibers have better insulation properties at a lighter weight. The hollow fibers trap in warm air, keeping feet warmer for much longer periods of time.

On the contrary, the light weight of the fiber allows the socks to be extremely breathable. When the weather is warm, the natural crimp of the fiber will wick sweat away and the weight will maintain the sock’s breathability, keeping feet cool even through the hottest of days.

  • MOISTURE-WICKING

Alpaca fibers are extremely water resistant, and dry much faster than merino when wet. Merino retains up to 30% of its weight in water, holding onto moisture and keeping your feet uncomfortably wet, while alpaca only retains up to 10%.

Because alpaca fibers are hollow, moisture can’t saturate through them. Instead, the moisture is moved to the surface of the sock, where it quickly evaporates.

Not only does this keep the sock dry, but less moisture means less bacteria. The fiber’s moisture-wicking capabilities also prevents bacteria from building up and causing odor.

  • EXTREME COMFORT

Alpaca fiber is one of the softest, most loftiest, natural materials available. Some have even compared the feel as having a resemblance close to cashmere.

Unlike other types of wool, alpaca does not produce lanolin oils. Lanolin oil is a wax found in merino that makes the material feel itchy, and even causes allergic reactions. Because alpaca fiber is lanolin-free, it is hypoallergenic and itch-free.

The structure of alpaca fibers is not only soft, it also helps provide a cushion against callus buildups, preventing blisters and maintaining foot health.

  • ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES

Alpaca fibers possess natural properties that effectively regulate airflow, allowing for enhanced breathability in socks. This not only helps in maintaining a comfortable foot temperature but also prevents the buildup of bacteria and odors by ensuring efficient air circulation, thereby keeping socks fresher for longer periods.
